Foul food: can the Government protect us from killer bugs?
Article Abstract:
There have been mixed reactions to the UK government's plans to fund a new Food Standards Agency with a payment of 100 pounds sterling a year from all shops and restaurants. Food industry representatives and farmers believe that this approach would be tantamount to a tax on food. The Food Safety Agency will have the responsibility for ensuring that food is safe to eat. It will also play a role in giving advice on healthy eating, and will coordinate food law enforcement and commission research.

He had made himself popular with students in a number of ways, but in so doing had alienated many dons.

Healthy city kids excel over country cousins
Article Abstract:
British children who live in an urban environment may have healthier lifestyles than those who live in the countryside, according to research undertaken for the BBC television programme 'Watchdog HealthCheck.' Children living in the countryside tend to take less exercise than their city counterparts, and also eat more animal fat. Those living in the city generally walk to school, while those who live in the countryside travel to school by car.
