How the Russians poisoned their own

Article Abstract:

Evidence has been discovered that an accident at a biological weapons plant in Ekaterinburg, Russia, in April 1979 caused an outbreak of anthrax. Two Russian scientists and US researchers' analysis of tissue samples shows that many of the 68 deaths were caused by breathing 10,000 airborne spores of bacterium, not by eating infected meat. This high concentration of spores must have come from the plant. The official inquiry held that lesions of the intestines rather than the lungs was the cause of death.
