Giant Haystacks is dead. Long live wrestling

Article Abstract:

Many people have been forecasting for some time that wrestling would fade into obscurity in the UK, particularly following the deaths of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks, the country's most popular wrestlers. However, there are now indications that wrestling is undergoing a revival. Younger wrestlers are determined to give the sport a new image, emphasizing that wrestling now involves much more skill and danger than it used to. A new generation of promoters is also seeking to change the way wrestling is marketed.

Suitable cases for proper treatment

Article Abstract:

Schizophrenics may feel cured after months of dopamine blockers, but can relapse into madness and delusions if they do not complete the course of medicine. In Jun 1993, there were two cases of schizophrenics, who had been discharged without adquate psychiatric support, killing strangers. The law requires hospital to discharge psychiatric patients only when there is community care for them, but they are often sent to unsuitable hostels and fail to appear for outpatient appointments.

1997: when the Teletubbies' star rose, Oasis' fell, and Hale-Bopp blazed a trail across the heavens

Article Abstract:

Popular trends in the UK in 1997 showed considerable nostalgia for the past. Buffalo Trainers, which feature 1970s-style platform soles, became fashionable, as did the secret agent look, modeled on Diana Rigg in 'The Avengers.' Rock stars Elton John and Mick Jagger saw a revival in their popularity, and there was also a 1980s pop revival. Britpop began to decline, and there was a shift away from the big pop names of 1996.
