Gulf painting withdrawn by war museum

Article Abstract:

A painting by the official Gulf war artist John Keane has been withdrawn from public view by the Imperial War Museum. Alien landscape, a large symbolic painting, depicts scenes from the Gulf war surrounded by a frame of dollar bills and pages ripped from the Koran and collected from the Basra Road. It was thought that Muslims would find this offensive and the picture has been taken down to avoid this. Mr Keane was with the British forces for four weeks during which he photographed and videotaped scenes used to paint from on his return to the UK.

Scientology is as worthy of belief as Christianity or Judaism. True or false?

Article Abstract:

It can sometimes appear that there is very little to choose between the various religions which currently exist or have existed in the world. The monotheistic religions have generally triumphed over those in which many gods are worshipped, but they have also competed between themselves. A religion cannot be judged by what its followers are required to believe, as this would not provide a reliable way of distinguishing between them. All religions have various ethical beliefs, most of which their followers are expected to act upon.

And the Word of God is: ambiguous

Article Abstract:

The Bible cannot be interpreted as offering moral guidance on many issues which are very sensitive in modern society, such as homosexuality. Each Christian society interprets the Bible in its own particular way, and they often disagree about matters which the Bible takes for granted. The interpretation of the Bible is constantly developing, just as Jesus himself interpreted the scriptures which he knew.
