Article Abstract:

There is likely to be a rise in demand for fertiliser in Poland, where the soil is over-exploited and is poorer than in other European countries. This will assist fertiliser manufacturers such as Zaklady Azotowe, which is set for privatisation in 1997. It is also creating a joint venture with Norsk Hydro which will work on improving efficiency and production quality at its plant in Tarnow, Poland. The Polish tractor market is complex, as the country is split between small farms in the east and large farms in the west. Tractor sales could rise if more farmers are prepared to form co-operatives which can afford the high cost of tractors.

Article Abstract:

The media are runing one article after another about health staff who are HIV positive or who have Aids instead of helping the general public to see things in the proper perspective. The press has resumed the mentality it had a decade or so ago when the 'Aids plague' was hitting the headlings. The danger is not from Aids but from panic, Aids in fact being a very difficult disease to catch. The HIV organism doe not survive for long outside the body and is only transmitted by exchange of body fluids and this includes transmission from doctors and nurses.
