He's got the whole world in his laptop

Article Abstract:

Pete Townshend of the Who music group has set Ted Hughes poem 'The Iron Man' to music and won five Tony awards for the stage version of 'Tommy' on Broadway. He owns eight Macintosh computers and has been interested in virtual reality since the 1970s. He wrote a project called 'Lifehouse,' about totalitarian media, which was abandoned because it was too futuristic. Its idea has been transferred to a character in the concept album 'Psychoderelict.'

My Country, right or wrong

Article Abstract:

There are many things wrong with contemporary country music, according to Kurt Wagner, songwriter with cult country music band Lambchop. In particular, country music does not reflect modern life. He feels that country music would be much richer if songwriters wrote about what is actually happening in their lives. The members of Lambchop, who currently number 14, have committed themselves to reviving country music through complete honesty.
