Hit or miss ... it's a hard day's Spice

Article Abstract:

It is very unclear whether 'Spiceworld - The Movie,' the film released by pop group the Spice Girls, will be a success. Pop films in the UK have traditionally followed a very fixed format, and have generally not been of very high quality. The group has recently attracted some criticism, and it is likely that each of its members is considering the possibility of a solo career. It is therefore very important to them that this film is successful. They must be aware that most pop singers who have tried to establish a career in acting have made themselves look very foolish.

'Robert Plant? I'm not a huge fan.' (Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant releases West Coast music album) (Interview)

Article Abstract:

Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant usually bases his style on blues singers such as Ray Charles and Otis Clay. His 1993 album 'Fate of Nations' is influenced more by West Coast music than by blues. He uses powerful acoustic music in it. The arrangements were done before recording, but the performance was spontaneous. The music of the album depends on the voice, recorded in analogue.

The life and death of a guitar-slinger

Article Abstract:

Blues performer Johnny 'Guitar' Watson never had a particularly high profile compared with some his contemporaries, but he had a successful career spanning four decades and was extremely influential. He had great innovative talent, constantly changing his style to keep up with latest trends. He worked extremely hard, and it is therefore perhaps very fitting that he died on stage.
