Home is where the heart is; travel makes you sick

Article Abstract:

Homesickness can lead to depression and severe anxiety, and this in turn can lead to stress-related illnesses. Increased mobility means that more people study and work away from home. Extroverts tend to suffer less, and sufferers may also have low self-esteem. Separation from a familiar environment can lead to feelings of bereavement and familiar objects may provide comfort. Obtaining information on a place one plans to move to can help prevent homesickness, as can preparation for a move generally.

The body in question is mine

Article Abstract:

It is vital that biotechnology companies are not permitted to patent genetic discoveries, according to Wendy Watson, who is now lobbying Members of the European Parliament on this issue. She has become involved in this campaign because she carries the breast cancer gene BRCA1, and in 1991 had a preventive mastectomy. She fears that biotechnology companies may eventually find a considerable number of genes for breast cancer and that they may force women to pay for many different tests.
