The one with the hand gestures

Article Abstract:

The popular television comedy series 'Friends' has had a significant impact on the way many people talk, both in the US and in the UK. The fifth series, which has just begun broadcasting, is also set to influence non-verbal communication. Each of the main characters seems to have developed distinctive gestures, and these gestures become a key element of the comedy. In this way, 'Friends' is clearly distinguished from British comedy, in which very obvious comic acting, facial expressions and gestures are generally avoided.

Immaculate conceptions

Article Abstract:

The novelist has a responsibility to write about his own time, rather than his private emotions, according to novelist Tom Wolfe. He believe that every novelist should seek to present the spirit of the age. He feels that his new novel, 'A Man in Full,' is based on his discovery of the plantations. In this novel, he seeks to show gradations of manhood, presenting the reader with two versions of what the true 'man in full' could be. He strongly rejects authors who talk as if their characters were real.
