How to get a great phone manner

Article Abstract:

There have been a number of developments in the telecommunications industry enabling small businesses to use their phone lines and mobile phones for a number of services. Computers are now available with fax, data and voice modems, and can now respond to all incoming calls, though this can mean overloaded lines. Pace offers The Message Desk, which enables uses to access fax telephone messages and faxes. There are also various call diversion services.

Work hard? It's much easier to play the system

Article Abstract:

It has become increasingly common for students at UK universities to opt to do as little academic work as possible. They do enough to ensure that they pass each course or set of exams, but no more. In many cases, this is because they are disappointed with their university, especially if subject groups are very large. Others students prefer to focus on outside interests, while others have part-time jobs.

Higher degree of loneliness

Article Abstract:

Postgraduate students often feel undervalued by the universities where they are conducting their research. Certain universities have failed to take account of the specific requirements of postgraduates as they have competed strongly to increase their presence in this profitable area. This can lead to postgraduates feeling isolated, with possibly negative effects on their work.
