I thought that the screaming and crying when I was trying to kick heroin was bad. When my Aunt Phyllis passed away, that was bad. But this was worse. I cried for seven weeks

Article Abstract:

Rock group Aerosmith came very close to breaking up because Tim Collins, its former manager, deliberately set the members of the group against each other, according to Steven Tyler, the group's singer. He found this a very traumatic experience, but is happy that the group is now working well together again. He is very keen on strong melodies, and this comes across in some of Aerosmith's songs. The group's latest album, 'Nine Lives,' covers a wide range of styles, including country ballads and blues music.

As punks go, these guys are daft ...

Article Abstract:

Making music is more important than gaining international recognition, according to Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Ilomen Christo, who make up techno band Daft Punk. Their music has been influenced by both rock and soul, and they have been hailed as representing the next stage in the development of dance music. They do not wish to be part of the mainstream dance scene, and do not necessarily have high expectations. Their inspirations include Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Loony tunes

Article Abstract:

There seems to be an increasing trend towards female pop singers and songwriters having to appear almost completely mentally unstable before they gain widespread acceptance. This has been seen recently in performers including Alanis, Bjork and Polly Harvey. It has led to very standard content, appearance and sound among these performers, and any female singer or songwriter seeking to appear normal is finding it a great struggle to gain acceptance.
