Reviled art that made the Nazis rich

Article Abstract:

Specialists at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England, are currently examining German books and catalogues left to the museum by an art dealer. These are believed to contain hitherto unknown details about works of art which were seized and sold by the Nazis. The art works, which the Nazi party regarded as subversive or obscene or rejected because they were by Jewish artists, were confiscated and sold, often to Swiss art dealers. However, some were retained by leading Nazis, including Hermann Goering.

Why Monet was the root of art evil

Article Abstract:

The Royal Academy has always been run by people who are highly respected in the art world, but unfortunately these people have had little business experience. This means that the institution is now facing severe financial difficulties, and has recently even had to go as far as to consider selling off a 50 million pounds sterling Michelangelo. It has decided not to sell off any works at present, but will still have to give close attention to its role in a rapidly evolving art world.

Paul Daniel: don't bring the curtain down on the ENO

Article Abstract:

It is vital to avoid being forced to move from the Coliseum to Covent Garden in London, England, according to English National Opera (ENO) Music Director and acting Artistic Head Paul Daniel. ENO will be destroyed if it has to move to Covent Garden and share facilities with the Royal Opera and Royal Ballet. He is aware of criticism that ENO does not seek to make itself visible to people outside London, and is considering touring and a short residency outside London.
