I wooed Bacon with Claridge's champagne but London gallery cheated me, says dealer

Article Abstract:

Pace Gallery owner Arnold Glimcher alleges that artist Francis Bacon, who died in 1992, was blackmailed by Frank Lloyd, former Director of Marlborough Fine Art, into remaining with that gallery. Glimcher states that in 1978 he offered Bacon a deal with which he initially seemed very pleased but then suddenly turned down.

Many UK companies are now running their internet operations on systems contained in The Bunker, a 300 ft-deep bunker near Sandwich, Kent. This facility gives the companies protection from the potentially damaging activities of anti-capitalist campaigners.
