Il Duce was my architect

Article Abstract:

Some towns in southern Lazio, Italy, still retain buildings constructed during the fascist regime of the 1930s. These include Latina, which has formal squares and imposing buildings and avenues, and Pontinia, which has a town hall inscribed with a long quotation from Mussolini and a block-shaped, unadorned church. One of the most interesting towns in this area in relation to the architecture of the fascist regime is Sabaudia, with its heroic town hall, post office, church and other structures.

Cooking of the highest order

Article Abstract:

There is now a growing awareness that chalet staff need to be better trained than they were in the past. Crystal Holidays, for example, which employs around 300 staff for its chalets each year, is recommending that new recruits undertake a week's specialist chalet-cookery training. Instruction is also given in other skills, such as cleaning and dealing with difficult clients. There is generally very strong commitment among recruits to learning these new skills.
