I've got my own project to do (sniff)

Article Abstract:

The announcement that The Verve is to split up has highlighted the various reasons why band members decide to go their separate ways. The reason most frequently given for bands splitting up is musical differences, which can be interpreted as meaning fierce conflict between the band's members. Another common reason for bands breaking up is the failure of romantic relationships between the band's members. In many cases, band members try to get together again when they fail to establish a successful solo career.

From Russia with pips

Article Abstract:

Prokofiev is a very Russian composer, according to writer, actor and director Peter Ustinov, whose 1997 production of the Prokofiev opera 'The Love of The Three Oranges,' created for the Bolshoi Opera in Moscow, Russia, is to be performed at the Coliseum in London, England, in Aug 1999. He feels that he understands Prokofiev very well. Of all the operas he has produced, he is most pleased with this one. He is now 78, but does not intend to slow down.

Bye bye baby, for now

Article Abstract:

Human conflict is usually the main reason for tension within rock bands. In many cases, conflict can build up gradually, with a relatively minor incident then acting as the catalyst for one member of the band to leave or the band to split up altogether. It is quite unusual for differences in musical taste to be the real reason why bands collapse. Quite frequently, band members can be encouraged to return if given a sufficiently large incentive.
