Izzy wizzy, Guinness Mahon gets busy

Article Abstract:

The publicity which merchant bank Guinness Mahon has attracted as a result of its purchase of the rights to the puppet Sooty for 1.4 million pounds sterling will service to attract more business in the area of intellectual property rights, according to David Potter, head of the bank. It has established a strong presence in the corporate finance side of new media, recovering from earlier severe financial difficulties. This is now making it a potential target for overseas institutions.

Kevin Maxwell tells of father's bullying

Article Abstract:

Kevin Maxwell, son of the late businessman Robert Maxwell, is currently defending himself against charges that he conspired to defraud the Maxwell pension funds. He has told the court how his father was a very dominant person and was motivated by power. Robert Maxwell was capable of being very charming, but could also bully and humiliate subordinates. He did not consider himself above the law, but was willing to push the law to its limits.
