John Jacob

Museum curator and broadcaster John Jacob was born in Carshalton, England, in 1929. He studied Modern History at Christ's College, Cambridge, England, and after National Service became Assistant Curator at York City Art Gallery. He moved to the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, England, in 1957.

John Wright

Article Abstract:

The British surveyor John Wright died on Jul 18 2001 aged 87. He took part in a polar expedition between 1935 and 1936 to make the first maps of the North East Land.
