Greeks, stop bearing grudges

Article Abstract:

The current tension between Greece and Turkey over missiles in Cyprus is only one symptom of a much deeper conflict between these two countries. Greeks have still not come to terms with their defeats and occupation under the Ottoman Turks, and continue to feel that Turkey represents a threat to their nationhood. It is vital that Greece focuses on improving its economy and reviving its political culture, rather than perpetuating a conflict with a much larger and more military powerful country.

Sound advice to stop dance of death

Article Abstract:

The London Drug Policy Forum has called on the city's 33 licensing authorities to cooperate more closely with promoters of rave events and owners of nightclubs to reduce the use of the drug ecstasy. At present, it is believed that around 1 million tablets of the drug are sold in the UK every week. There have been 100 ecstasy-related deaths since 1988. The new campaign will focus on London's 200 weekly dance events.
