Keys to success

Article Abstract:

Many secretaries are now highly qualified, and this gives them very good career prospects if they are suitably ambitious. Secretarial work can form a good basis for moving into specific fields, such as publishing or television, but it may be necessary to gain experience elsewhere first. Many women are reluctant to draw attention to themselves, and are in danger of being typecast as a secretary. Moving from being a secretary into other areas of work can be hard in very traditional areas of employment, such as law and accountancy.
