Laughing all the way to the bank

Article Abstract:

UK banks are recruiting increasingly large numbers of accountants. This is particularly the case in the investment banking sector, where accountants are required to deal with complex products. Banks are increasingly willing to consider applicants who have passed the examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. They almost always offer attractive salaries to newly qualified accountants who have abilities in complex technical areas.
