Leah Betts link to triple killing

Article Abstract:

Police believe that Craig Rolfe, Tony Tucker and Patrick Tate, who were found shot dead in a remote part of the Essex countryside, fell victim to a gangland execution. The men were involved in a ferocious drug-gang war which resulted from police action against dealers in the drug ecstasy in the area. It is believed that they were trying to establish a presence in territory where established dealers operated, including at the disco where 18-year-old Leah Betts purchased the ecstasy tablet which killed her.

'My Zulu boy was legally abducted.' (Salome Stopford, foster mother of Zulu boy sent to South Africa, will fight to have him returned to the UK)(Interview)

Article Abstract:

The decision to send Sifiso Mahlangu, a 10-year-old Zulu boy, back to his parents in South Africa amounts to 'legal child abduction,' according to Salome Stopford, his foster mother. The boy has never been aware of living with his natural parents, and they are now strangers to him. He is the son of her former maid, and was brought up as her own son. She has now extracted a promise from his father that he will be allowed to return to the UK if he is not happy in South Africa.

Critics claim deportees are still treated 'brutally.' (police officers cleared of manslaughter of illegal immigrant Joy Gardner)

Article Abstract:

The case of Joy Gardner, an illegal immigrant who died while Metropolitan Police officers were trying to arrest her prior to deportation, has highlighted concerns about the techniques used by the Alien Deportation Group (ADG) to restrain people it tries to deport. The police officers concerned have been acquitted of manslaughter, but there is still concern that deportations are still being undertaken and that there is no disciplinary code for the Immigration Service.
