Lesson one: girls want to have sex

Article Abstract:

It is widely assumed that young girls have passive attitudes towards sex and that they need to be informed in order to refuse sexual experiences. This is in fact not the case. Many young girls actually want to experience sex, and often initiate the sexual experience themselves. They frequently do not have the sense of self which comes with a good education and a stable family background, and can feel pressured into having sex. It is vital that sex education takes into account these factors, and that teenagers have access to free and independent advice.

Now art thieves aren't Raffles but riff-raff

Article Abstract:

Art theft has traditionally been associated with wealthy aristocrats, but it appears that this is no longer the case. Today's art thief will probably not be an aristocrat, and will not necessarily be stealing to order. It is now more common for art theft to be part of a wider illegal trade in commodities such as securities and drugs. Art theft is regarded as the top of the criminal profession, and those who steal works of art are highly respected by other criminals.

Hail to thee, blithe spirit (But not if you live in Middle England)

Article Abstract:

A sculpture which has been erected in the town of Horsham, England, to commemorate 18th century poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who was born there, has attracted very mixed views. The structure, which stands 28 feet high and moves, was designed by Angela Conner and funded by Sainsbury's. It is intended to provide a focus for the town centre and to be as challenging as Shelley himself was. Some residents of the town are calling for it to be removed.
