Bereaved Britons arrive to begin their grim task

There will be at least three flights taking relatives of the British victims of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre in New York, NY, to the scene of the disaster. The bereaved will be assisted by police family liaison officers and grief counsellors.

Like a river of grief, widows and children flowed past a memorial to mass murder

Article Abstract:

A memorial service has taken place in Westminster Abbey, London, England, for the 76 British victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. The friends, relatives and colleagues who attended the service also remembered the victims of other nationalities, and flowers were placed on a stone memorial.

Cantor Fitzgerald pledges its profits to bereaved

Article Abstract:

Brokerage firm Cantor Fitzgerald has assembled a financial assistance programme for the relatives of its 663 employees who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre. It will devote 25% of its profits to the bereaved during the next five years, and will pay any bonuses that the victims would have received.
