Malcolm Hughes

Article Abstract:

Artist and teacher Malcolm Hughes began training as an artist at the Regional College of Art in Manchester, England. He moved to the Royal College of Art, where his work was influenced by Socialist Realism. His work was shown at the Salon des Realites Nouvelles in Paris, France, and at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, England, during the 1960s, and during this time he also began to establish a career as a teacher.

Bryan Ingham

Article Abstract:

Artist George Bryan Ingham began his working life in the tailoring department of a large store in Sheffield, England. However, he entered St Martin's School of Art in London, England, in 1957, and came to the attention of Carel Weight. He studied at the Royal College of Art between 1961 and 1964, and then gained a major commission. He later lived and worked in the bleak landscape of Jollytown, Cornwall, England.
