The music of the Miles Davis Quintet is covered in great detail by 'The Miles Davis Quintet, 1965-68: The Complete Columbia Studio Recordings,' which is to be released on Mar 23, 1998. This boxed set of six CDs includes 13 previously unreleased versions of various recordings, along with all the music from albums including 'Miles in the Sky,' 'ESP' and 'Miles Smiles.' The collection begins at a time when Davis was experiencing a slump in his career and had to put together a new group. Its members included Wayne Shorter, whose involvement was to prove vital.

San Giorgio Maggiore and Il Redentore, designed by 16th century Vicentine architect Andrea Palladio, are well worth seeing on a visit to Venice, Italy. San Griorgio Maggiore, situated across the lagoon from the Doge's Palace, occupies its own island, while Il Palladio, which has a compact, domed profile, is situated along the waterfront of the Giudecca. The former was clearly built for show, and is a magnificent example of High Renaissance architecture. The latter was designed for spiritual reflection.
