Mubarak names his prime suspect

Article Abstract:

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt has turned a recent assassination attempt against him in Ethiopia to his advantage, using it to gain popular support. He has blamed the attack on Hassan Turabi, Sudan's spiritual leader who has a very strong influence over the military government. Various Middle Eastern countries have been blaming each other for the attempted assassination, and many denials have been issued. Mubarak is now calling on the Egyptian people to work towards greater unity.
