No orgies, and go easy on the lacrosse

Article Abstract:

Television companies frequently ask to make programmes about public schools. The school gains little but viewers are fascinated. Little editorial control is available to the school, as the content depends on the producer. The school only has the right to veto incorrect facts or if individuals who wish to be omitted are shown. A balanced view can give good publicity. Benenden is filmed by Channel 4 for a documentary on Mar 9 1992.

Girls who give Sky high kicks

Article Abstract:

The dance troupe Sky Strikers entertain the fans before football matches and during half-time for Sky Sport's Monday games. The 14 professional dancers earn 200 pounds sterling for each performance. Football fans often do not appreciate them and swear at them. Northern crowds are more admiring. The Strikers, aged 18-33, are intended to make the matches more of an event, to attract families.

A Welshman's dream, a dragon's nightmare

Article Abstract:

The Welsh rugby team encourages supporters with pre-match entertainment from Dewi (Welsh for David) the dragon. The heavy, red costume, complete with 2ft head and 4ft tail, needs help to put on. The crowd of 50,000 at the Five Nations' Championship tie with Ireland at Cardiff Arms Park on Mar 06, 1993, was quiet. Keen supporters may pull the dragon over but police help him remain upright.
