Wish you were elsewhere

Article Abstract:

The Internet has the potential to be a valuable tool in allowing very specialized holidays to be developed and marketed. In many cases, these holidays will be educational in some way, allowing people to develop new interests or build on existing ones. In the long term, there will no longer be such a clear distinction between work, leisure and education. The flexibility and scope of the Internet will play a significant role in breaking down this distinction.

Paying bills will never be the same as banking takes off in cyberspace

Article Abstract:

Telephone banking has become established in the UK, but it does not seem likely that this approach to delivering banking services will fully replace conventional branch banking. Similarly, Internet banking will probably enjoy early success but then fail to expand any further. However, there will be some interesting Internet-related developments, including packaging Web-based banking services so that they can be delivered over a mobile phone and a shift towards the phone becoming a payment mechanism itself.
