Precocious prankster who gets a thrill from tripping people up

Article Abstract:

The film 'The Game' has attracted a rather hostile reaction from people who do not like to be tricked by the films they watch, according to David Fincher, the film's director. It is a combination of a morality tale and a conspiracy thriller, and has many small practical jokes. As with his earlier film 'Seven,' this film has gimmicks which challenge the responsibility of the story-teller within the setting of the cinema. Fincher feels that films are still not as abstract as they could or should be.

So what exactly did Andy do?

Article Abstract:

Andy Warhol was pleased with audience reaction to his films, according to Paul Morrissey, who directed all Warhol's films from 1968. Morrissey had full creative control over the films, giving them a distinctive shape and a more ordered narrative structure. The later films are much more watchable than the early ones, which tend to have very little action or dialogue. Morrissey was also influential in giving a key role to Joe Dallesandro.

Cars, death, sex

Article Abstract:

The use of sex scenes in the film 'Crash,' which has attracted very mixed reactions, is very specific and is central to the film's development, according to director David Cronenberg. He has often been associated with strong reactions, right since his first feature film, 'Shivers.' The key themes which recur in his work are mortality, disease and spiritual isolation. These are shown from a new angle in each new film.
