Cream soothes nausea - and vomiting

Article Abstract:

A formula for compounding a transdermal cream for controlling nausea and vomiting is presented. The formula has been used by hospice specialists for several years. The ingredients for one gram of cream are 1 mg of lorazepam, 12.5 mg of disphenyldramine and 2 mg of haloperidol. The cost of these ingredients is about $17, while the time for compounding is about 15 min. The cream is applied to the inner wrist or forehead every four hours as needed.

Make your own fungi fighters: two formulas are offered for treating skin infections

Article Abstract:

Antifungal products for skin infections such as athlete's foot and ringworm can be formulated at a lower cost and according to individual patient needs. Two formulas for treating skin infections and the directions for their use are presented. The antifungal solution consists of 3% salicylic acid and 6% benzoic acid, while the sodium thiosulfate day solution consists of 30 gm of sodium and 25% thiosulfate.
