Consumers in the health and beauty market are not simply concerned about price, according to Boots Chief Exective-elect Steve Russell. He believes that the company can stand firm against fierce price competition. He claims that promotional prices are more attractive than ordinary low prices because consumers enjoy testing different products. He believes that there is potential for Boots to offer a range of new services, including holiday health, alternative remedies and physiotherapy.
