Rebellion is not what it used to be

Article Abstract:

There are few signs of real protest by today's adolescents in the UK. Even those adolescents who do speak out are often understood and supported by their parents, which seems very strange. Adolescents are in theory in a good position to challenge society, as they do not have to bear the burden of responsibility. However, some of the most challenging views are actually being expressed by older people. It is now time for adolescents to speak out, relieving older people of the burden of rebellion.

Kosovo's rebellion 'still alive.'

Article Abstract:

The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) seems to have been almost completely defeated by the Serb-led Yugoslav army. The KLA now only holds a small area of land in the central Drenica region, along with village of Junik, on the western border with Albania. However, it is important to remember that the KLA is a guerrilla force, and its strength cannot really be measured by the amount of territory it holds. Furthermore, its fighters are determined to continue the conflict.

Farewell cultural revolution, hello box rebellion

Article Abstract:

China now has 780 television stations, and the market has become extremely competitive. The television broadcasting industry has been traditionally associated with propaganda and censorship, but this is no longer the case. Programme-makers are more willing to deal with sensitive issues, and reporters are prepared to take considerable personal risks to expose corrupt practices.
