Where is our water, now that we need it?

Article Abstract:

There has been considerably controversy surrounding the decision by some of the UK's water companies to impose a ban on the use of hosepipes. The water companies feel that this is justified because the prolonged spell of dry weather has depleted supplies. However, critics claim that the water companies are at fault, as they allow large volumes of water simply to leak away through poorly maintained pipes. There are also very mixed views on the issue of water meters, which could place a heavy burden on the poorest households.

Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to have changed greatly since the birth of his daughter Katherine in Dec 1989. He had previously enjoyed the attentions of many women, and had behaved in the way expected of top personalities. He now appears to have mellowed a great deal, turning down offers of work in order to spend time with his daughter. He has also taken on different sorts of roles, where the emphasis is no longer on his masculinity.

18-month-old Michael Walker died of dehydration some time after the death of his parents from morphine poisoning caused by taking heroin, according to a recent inquest. Neighbours of the family in Rhyl, north Wales, eventually broke into their flat after not having been able to obtain a response for some time. It was clear that the couple had died at the same time, while the toddler had died later of natural causes.
