They are sometimes hampered by vendors in their efforts to investigate the property thoroughly, and find that potential purchasers often misunderstand the key issues. Against this background, surveyors' reports tend to contain rather trivial information, and are generally very non-committal. It is important that the potential purchaser pays for specialist investigation of possible problem areas.
