Whatever happened to one-time internet darling Freeserve?

Article Abstract:

Internet service provider Freeserve has attracted little publicity since it was purchased by Wanadoo in Dec 2000. Its market share was 27% in Aug 2000, but this had fallen to 19% by Aug 2001. In contrast, AOL and BT Internet have both increase their market share. Freeserve indicates that it stopped advertising in Jan 2001 because it could not gain sufficient network capacity.
