Outdoor advertising can be extremely successful, according to Roger Parry, chief executive of More O'Ferrall, the UK's top outdoor advertising concern. The concern already has 30,000 Adshel shelters installed in the UK, and is now looking for expansion abroad. It is particularly interested in rapidly expanding markets such as Malaysia and Thailand. It is aiming for sales of 100 million pounds sterling in 1996, from 87 million pounds sterling in 1995.

Blunt Bon gearing up for good fight

Article Abstract:

The management of France Telecom must now address some very sensitive issues, according to new chief executive Michel Bon. These include the company's commercial status, growing competition in the telecommunications industry and its relations with Deutsche Telekom. He will have to steer the company towards commercial status, and hopes that this will begin as soon as possible.

Computer software concern Logica has seen a strong revival in its share price since Martin Read became chief executive in 1993. He is viewed positively by City analysts, and the company's employees have welcomed the new approach which he has instigated. Managers are now focusing on marketing and sales work, and a new divisional structure has proved effective.
