So, Tony, on a scale of one to ten, how does your government rate?

Article Abstract:

The UK government has published its second annual report on its performance. This report claims that 90 of the Labour party's 177 manifesto commitments have been met, while 85 are underway and only two have not yet been timetabled. However, Prime Minister Tony Blair had recognized that voters are becoming frustrated about the length of time it is taking to fulfill election commitments to reduce hospital waiting lists and class sizes. The report also acknowledges that the government faces problems with transport.

Blair must give party more love and attention, says Hain

Article Abstract:

The UK Labour party must feel ownership of its government and its policies, according to Minister of State at the Foreign Office Peter Hain. He does not feel that it is necessary to have a significant change of direction to achieve this. He believes that the Cabinet reshuffle will be effective in repositioning the government, providing reassurance for both New and Old Labour supporters. He feels that priority must be given to explaining the delivery of policy more effectively.
