Talk to the Russians by all means, but Nato must stick to its guns

Article Abstract:

It is clearly important that Russia remains involved in the diplomatic process aiming to bring a resolution of the conflict in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. However, this must be achieved without diluting the goals of Nato military action there. UK Prime Minister Tony Blair will play a key role in this process. He is anxious to stop Russia being isolated, but is also aware that his wider geopolitical vision will also be determined by a clear resolution to the conflict in Kosovo. It will be vital to ensure that ethnic Albanian refugees are able to return to their homes in all parts of Kosovo if the threat of military force is to be taken seriously in the future.
