The Sky's the limit for sport on TV

Article Abstract:

It is now only possible to watch television coverage of top quality live football in the UK by paying a subscription to satellite broadcaster Sky. This arrangement has certainly brought some advantages to football, which has received funds to refurbish grounds and pay more to top players, but has also been very beneficial to Sky. Some observers believe that it will become increasingly common to have to pay to receive live coverage of top sporting events, and this could mean that few people bother to attend these events in person.
