The crossroads of Lorraine

Article Abstract:

The city of Metz, France, is located at the very heart of Europe. This is reflected in its Gothic cathedral, which is very European in character. The city has a range of both Catholic and German Protestant churches, including St Pierre aux Nonains, the oldest church in France. Its other attractions include a range of interesting restaurants. These include the Maire, possibly one of the nicest restaurants in France, and Le Resto. Both overlook the Moselle river.
