Bickering of the bitter old Tories threatens Hague

Article Abstract:

4euukFormer UK Prime Minister Lady Thatcher has denied reports that she is privately undermining William Hague's leadership of the Conservative party. She has emphasized through a spokesman that she strongly supports Hague. She has also come into conflict with former Prime Minister John Major, whose memoirs are being serialized in The Sunday Times. These issues are likely to overshadow the Conservative party's 1999 annual conference.
