The three-letter word that parents dread

Article Abstract:

The UK Family Planning Association is trying to encourage better communication between parents and children about sex. In many cases, parents are nervous about talking about sex with their children, and prefer to wait until the child asks a question directly. However, experts advise that it is better to take a proactive approach, as children themselves may be nervous about asking questions about sex. Sex education in school is important, but teachers can never have the close relationship with children that parents have.

Warning after the night before

Article Abstract:

Some people in the UK believe that making post-coital contraception available from pharmacies would play a very valuable role in reducing the number of teenage pregnancies. However, others feel that post-coital contraception should only be available under strict medical supervision. They are concerned that making this form of contraception more widely available could bring health risks and a rise in casual sex.
