There's a bug in my bandage

Article Abstract:

It is becoming increasingly widely recognized that maggots are very effective in cleaning wounds. Furthermore, they release their own natural antibiotics. This is very significant at a time when some bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics and there is growing concern about the excessive use of antibiotics. It has now been established that maggots produce powerful enzymes which break down the dead tissue in the wound. They then consume the bacteria and excrete them as dead material before producing their own antibiotic and antiseptic materials in their secretions.

When can we sleep soundly?

Article Abstract:

New research into sudden infant death indicates that it could be caused by anaphylactic shock, possibly as a result of an allergy to cow's milk. It is possible that cow's milk or other foods regurgitated by the baby during sleep result in allergens being breathed into the lungs. Placing the baby on its back to sleep reduces the risk of this happening.
