Throwing up is not growing up

Article Abstract:

Parents often have very mixed views about allowing their teenage children to hold a party at home. Some parents do not allow parties at all, but this is not necessarily the best approach, as it does not teach their children to take responsibility for a group situation. Others find that allowing their children a certain degree of freedom is the best approach, as then the children do not usually abuse this trust. Most teenagers soon lose interest in holding parties at home, so parents must just cope with this phase while it lasts.

Oi, darlin'! Er, nice day, innit?

Article Abstract:

Diamond Cable, a cable company which is currently involved in digging up many roads in Nottingham, has issued strict warnings to its workers about shouting sexist comments to women who walk past. Workers have been told that public relations are extremely important, and that anyone causing offence to women walking past will lose his job. Most workers do not take the policy seriously, believing that women are flattered by their remarks.

Tears before bedtime - from dad

Article Abstract:

Research undertaken in 1994 indicates that men can suffer from a form of post-natal depression when they have to adapt to the demands and pressures of fatherhood. However, they are unlikely to seek any help in dealing with their feelings, and can find it hard to accept advice. For those who do seek help, there is no adequate support network, and they can end up feeling very marginalised.
