WORLD: RETAIL EXCHANGE APPOINTS CHIEF

The new WorldWide Retail Exchange (WWRE), the business-to-business exchange set up by 32 retailers worldwide, has named Colin Dyer as its chief executive. Dyer is the former chief executive of Courtaulds Textiles. An appointment from outside the retail sector could calm fears that the retailers could use the exchange to abuse supplier relationships.
