Versace: handle with care

Article Abstract:

The Versace family has devoted extensive resources to defending its reputation, both before and after the murder of Gianni Versace in Jul 1997. Gianni's sister Donatella has always managed a very highly organized public relations operation, establishing positive relationships with supermodels and film stars. She has also been influential as a trendsetter in her own right. It was not expected that she would be able to run the business successfully after her brother's death. However, her clothes have in fact attracted a great deal of positive attention.

Comment:

All roads lead from Rome

Article Abstract:

Visitors to Rome, Italy, who wish to escape the summer heat should look beyond the city walls. Many people travel down the Via Appia to the volcanic Albini Hills, where the town of Frascati, Italy, is located. South of Frascati, there is a chain of small towns with medieval centres. To the north of Rome, attractions include Lake Bracciano, which has medieval towns on its shore. Travelling east to the Tiburtini Hills, visitors find Tivoli, Italy, which has been a summer resort since Roman times.
