UK: IVF PARENTS ARE MORE DEPENDABLE

Article Abstract:

A British study of the emotional and social development of children born by egg or sperm donation, in vitro fertilisation or IVF, has revealed that the parents are less sensitive to their children's needs as they reach adolescence but are seen as more dependable by them. Studies also show that boys born using the latest fertility treatments are three times more likely to have genital abnormalities. Children born using intra-cytoplasmic injection - where a single sperm is injected into the egg - are also more likely to have abnormalities than children born naturally.

WORLD: BREAST CANCER LINK TO FATTY FOODS

Article Abstract:

Breast cancer is more of a risk among people consuming a large amount of fatty foods because such a diet means that the breast tissue loses an important nutrient able to stave off the disease. The unnamed nutrient is probably a trace element found in the soil, with low levels present in dairy products, fat and red meat and high levels in pulses and cereals. Research by London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine's Dr Richard Wiseman states that a fatty diet indirectly rather than directly causes breast cancer, a disease which causes 13,000 deaths in the UK alone every year.
