Article Abstract:

We know what Tony wants - does he have the stomach for a fight?

Article Abstract:

There are signs that UK Prime Minister Tony Blair feels that he is coming under significant pressure. He is aware that the combination of new and traditional support for the Labour party that led to his overwhelming election victory could turn against him, and some members of the party are now becoming quite concerned about the prospect of disappointing the electorate. There is a real danger of a lack of alignment between the language of government and the hopes of ordinary people.
