What's Harry's game?

Article Abstract:

Journalist Harry Evans, who has served as a role model to many younger journalists, seems to be demeaning himself by becoming involved in a battle with freelance writer Toby Young. Evans claims that he has been libelled by Young and that Young is obsessed with him and his wife Tina Brown, also a famous journalist. Some observers believe that Evans should simply withdraw quietly from this conflict, as he will not be able to match the levels of vitriol for which Young has become known.

Paris is fine, now Kent needs help

Article Abstract:

The UK government has decided to rejoin Unesco, a move which will cost 11 million pounds sterling a year. This seems a very strange decision, given that the government apparently afford to fund local services such as libraries. Many libraries are having to operate on reduced opening hours, and some have even been reduced to opening for only part of the week. It is estimated that around 20 million pounds sterling would be required to restore full library services across the UK.
