When marriage is the business

Article Abstract:

Couples who live together can experience considerable difficulties if they decide to establish a working relationship too. It can be very difficult to separate work issues from domestic ones, and couples may suffer from failing to lead individual lives. There can be particular difficulties if one partner employs the other, as this balance of power can be transferred into the domestic environment. If the personal relationship begins to break up, this can have a negative impact on the working relationship.

Recent scandal has severely damaged the reputation of Millfield School in Somerset, England, a public school where boarding fees are almost 15,000 pounds sterling a year. In Jun 1998, 14-year-old pupil Jennifer Gelardi died in a fall from a dormitory roof after having drunk a litre bottle of vodka with a friend, while music teacher David Fitzgerald has been charged with raping a 15-year-old pupil. Climbing through the crack

Article Abstract:

Drugs are a logical solution for those who are isolated from mainstream society, according to social worker Barrington Fagan, a former drug addict and dealer. He believes that living in a slum environment creates a sense of nihilism in many people, and this is what makes them turn to drugs. He feels that his experiences, which include spending time in prison, place him in a good position to really help people on the margins of society.
